The European Commission has presented an online tool that will help Ukrainian refugees look for work in the EU.

The European Commission has unveiled a new online tool to help refugees from Ukraine find work in Europe, Reuters reports.

An online job search tool called the EU Talent Pool will allow people displaced by the Russian invasion to upload their resumes, which will be available to more than 4,000 employers, national public employment services and private employment agencies.

Five EU countries have joined the pilot project, including Poland, which has the largest number of Ukrainians.

“For employers in the EU, who we know are facing labor shortages in many sectors and with different skill sets, this can be an important resource you can draw on,” said EU Employment Commissioner Nicola Schmidt.

A pilot job search tool run by the European Labor Agency is available in English, Ukrainian and Russian. It is linked to the EU Employment Services Cooperation Network with more than 3 million vacancies.

According to the agency, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, 600,000 Ukrainians have entered the European labor market.

As reported, against the backdrop of massive rocket attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities on October 10, the European Commission decided to extend the temporary protection mechanism for Ukrainians for another year. Those who returned to Ukraine for a long time will not be deprived of their status.
